Tiki Moon #289

by

Deborah called me back in a couple of hours and said she'd be returning to Los Angeles by the evening. So I gave Morty a call at the mansion. After several rings it was picked up.

"Hello?" the voice said.

"Morty?"

"No, this is Nick."

"Well, this is Groucho. Put Morty on."

I heard a sigh and then the phone being put down. After a minute Morty got on the line.

"Yes," he said.

"Morty, you and Nick meet me at the Tiki Moon tonight at 9 pm."

"Why?" Morty asked.

"Business. Don't make me come looking for you, Morty."

(Should it be come rather than coming in final line ?)

Indeed it should. I don't know how I missed that. Thanks, I'll fix it.

We all do it. I find it happens to me in the edit stage as I tend to write direct to the Drablr textbox these days. It’s easily done when you have to rework a sentence to lose some words.

Yeah, I write on Drablr and then transfer it to a file on my word processor to save it, since I'm generally a week or more ahead in my writing.

That’s a good idea. I might try it. Thanks.
