“Okay, Randolph,” Harrigan said gruffly. “We'll give you a little bit of rope. Just see that you don't hang yourself with it, huh?”

I got up from the booth and Little Miss Sunshine walked over and said, "Did you plan on paying for those cups of java over there," she asked, pointing to the table that Scarlett and I had been sitting at.
"Sorry," I mumbled, reaching in my pocket for a couple of ones.

That exchange with Harrigan wasn't really a tangent. I try each story to advance their relationship a little bit more and show why they are the way they are with each other.

Liking Little Miss sunshine too. Agree with Neville about Employee of the month candidacy. She wouldn't drive you mad by asking 'How's your day been?' every time she saw you. :-)
