She pulled into the parking lot of a nice apartment building in Hawthorne. I parked on the street in front of the building and walked up to the front doors.
She came penduluming up the concrete walkway from the parking lot. When she reached the front doors I said, "Miss Wilcox?"
She looked taken aback.
"Uh...yes?"
"I'm sorry to trouble you, ma'am. My name is Don Garfield. My brother Phil worked at your construction company."
She got a sad look, "Oh, I'm so sorry about your brother. A terrible accident."
"Well," I said, "I don't believe it was an accident."

I thought I made up the word "penduluming," but apart from some urban slang for the swinging of your testicles, I saw it in another article but I couldn't nail down whether or not it was a real word. But I like it, so if it isn't a real word I just coined it!

Oh, the other thing is the names of the brothers, Phil and Don. Those that are old enough will remember that was the names of the Everly Brothers but I didn't realize that until well after I'd started using those names. So it was an accidental homage to the Everly Brothers.

Penduluming... great word...I shall use it, giving you credit where possible. Don and Phil... nice homage. And as for the approach... bravo Jake, what a good intro!

Thanks, Neville.
