Deborah wasn't joking. She was stunningly gorgeous. Medium-length hair that was so blonde it was almost white. A black dress that contoured her body so closely it looked like skin. I felt like I was watching a tennis match as I eyed her hips swinging like a pendulum when she walked toward her car.

She pulled out of the parking lot onto the street. I kept a decent distance behind. Deborah had said she lived in an apartment in Hawthorne and it appeared that was where she was heading.
