She started laughing so hard it sounded like she dropped the phone.
"Come on, Jake! Stop making me laugh," she said, giggling throughout.
"I'm not joking, Deborah," I said solemnly.
The laughing stopped. I think it hit her all at once that her husband and the second-in-command at her company were not only in collusion to have her killed but were also lovers. She started sobbing.
"Deborah, I'm sorry. I thought you'd wanna know."
She sniffled and said, "I do want to know, Jake. I just didn't see this coming. I can't believe I didn't see this coming."

Think I might put up my wedding photo next time (it’s a laugh), provided I don’t lose my logo visual. Or my very late and very much lamented TR2. 😭. My exploits in it are a mini-series in their own right (in between and not slowing down Fedeltà of course). It was the car I had when I first met the lovely, eventually to be Mrs Hunt. She found it chilly!🥶

I must have missed all that. Drew's pic looks like some sort of turntable to me.
I never even thought about changing mine. I think I'll just stick with ole Salvador Dali.

It certainly looks like a good one. Mine is just a cheap one that hooks up to my computer so I can rip vinyl to MP3s.

It's mostly MP3 listening for me, with headphones. The only time I sit and listen to music anymore is when I'm writing. The rest of the time I have to squeeze in listening to music while I'm mobile.
And 60's psychedelia is my all-time favorite subgenre of rock and roll. There's far more of that genre on my computer than any other.
