Claire Voyant
Claire Voyant was the strangest girl I ever dated. I couldn't keep anything from her. If I was going to blow her off to spend time with the boys, she knew. If I was going to surprise her with a weekend trip somewhere, she knew. It was like she could see the future. I tested that theory by taking her to the racetrack. We won over $200,000.00 that afternoon.
She left me one day, saying she couldn't bear to witness what was coming. She asked if I wanted to know. I told her I didn't.
Now...I just sit and wait.

Someone would say "I've got to go to the store and get pizza dough."
I'd say, "I used to go to school with him."
They'd say, "Who?"
And I'd say, "Pete Zadoh."
I don't think my brain was standard issue.
