The Previous Owner #30

"Can you email me all the info you gathered, Becky?"

"Uh, sure, boss. I'll send it right now."

"Thanks. I'll call you tomorrow."

"Okay. Are you..."

I ended the call. I was really tired. I went in to the motel room and crashed onto the bed.

When I woke up the next morning I remembered a dream about being in that house, watching those movies. I kept hearing footsteps on the floor above the basement. But that was all I could remember.

I got up, showered and dressed and went to buy a bed and some furniture for the house.

Gotta stop for now. Hopefully I can come back to it later tonight. I really want to get all this out while it's in my head.

This is really gripping Christopher. I keep trying to guess what’s going to happen now, and that’s very exciting. Since you’re writing it on the fly, I bet it goes on for longer than you expected. Yeeha! And very well done.

P.S. It’s already seeming like it’s got movie potential!

Thanks. It does a have a bit of a cinematic feel to it. Well, I've gotten most of the exposition out of the way, explaining what came before him, so now it's pretty much his journey, finding out what kind of effect the house has on him. I don't want to drag it out too long because I have another series to get to.

Oh, by the way, I watched the first episode of Fleabag last night. It's unusual, that's for sure. I like the breaking of the fourth wall format. She's a bit dodgy, though, I have to say.

The fourth wall thing is terrific... and Phoebe W-B plays it wonderfully. Anti-heroine she may be, but you (or perhaps I mean me) really get to like her and wish her well. There are fabulous touches across the twelve episodes. P W-B is a real star...and still only 33 years old. Watch out for Oscar winner Olivia Colman and hated godmother/prospective stepmother.
