"So, who bought the house after Mark disappeared?" I asked as I finished the last of my burger and fries.
"Oh," Mo said, thinking back, "a nice couple called the Fosters bought it back in 1979. They had a little girl, sweet little thing. They seemed very much in love when they moved here but after a couple of months the wife left and took the little girl. Mr. Foster stayed, but he had a different look in his eye. He looked beaten and angry all the time."
Maybe Mo was right. Maybe there was a malevolence in that house.

To anyone who reads this after the fact, I was going back and checking my archives and I realized I skipped a drabble a couple back. After Teddy told Mo he'd bought the house she begged him not to stay there, that there was a malevolence in that house. That's why he said maybe Mo was right. Apparently I foolishly skipped that drabble.

Goodness me Christopher. I doubt that readers such as me and others were worried... we just really enjoyed your story. Ten out of ten for attention to detail post hoc though! 🏠

Thanks, Neville. I'm going through checking things I have saved on my computer and I noticed that.
I may go back to a story I had started writing about a goth band who fancies themselves vampires. A novelist researching the goth lifestyle gets mixed up with them and gets more than he bargained for.
