Old Jokes #9

by

A bird was late flying south for the winter and got ice on his wings. He crashed into a cow pasture. He was frozen and shivering. A cow came along, crapping on him. The heat from the cow patty thawed his wings out. He began singing. A cat heard the singing and pulled the bird from the patty and promptly ate him.

The moral:

Not everyone who shits on you is your enemy.

Not everyone who pulls you out of the shit is your friend.

And, if you're warm and happy in a pile of shit KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT!

This one was tricky to fit into a hundred words.

Haha! Well you managed it superbly well Christopher. I shall heed the moral of your story. Mmmm! It’s nice and warm in here! 🐄

Thanks, Neville. I made a comment earlier about life dumping a load on me lately and that reminded me of this joke.

Well, I had all those surgeries and things to deal with and then my niece had to start on dialysis three times a week and I've been taking her for that. It's been a rough go but things are starting to slowly get better. The dialysis is helping her. She's starting to feel better a little along. We're never out of the woods with her because she has so many problems but her quality of life has not been good for quite some time but now she's starting to feel some improvement. Sorry, didn't mean to rattle on like that.

No worries Christopher. It all sounds awful for you and your niece. I hope for her there is some long term improvement. My pal Steve was in a pretty bad way, on daily dialysis, but then I’m delighted to say that his luck changed when he got a kidney match and he was transformed back to his old self (well, with a few years added!) I wish your niece, and you, speedy recoveries.

Haha, very true morals to that story.
Best wishes to you and your neice, hopefully her improvement signals much better times ahead for both of you.

Works as a joke and a short story. So sorry about you and niece are going through Christopher.

Thank you, Jamie. I appreciate it. She's doing home dialysis now so maybe things can get back to normal (like I even know what normal is).
