The thunder rolled in the distance, growling like an angry god chastising its creation. The rain crept up on me slowly, starting first as a light tapping on the window pane, but slowly the deluge began. The skies grew ever darker, like a funeral shroud being pulled over me. The atmosphere became dank and clammy, as if the world had become a tomb and I was its only resident.
The staccato of raindrops hitting the roof subsided, and in one instant the clouds continued upon their journey, leaving the sun to wink and let me know he was still around.

The last line of this was inspired by Drew personifying the sun in one of his drabbles. The drabble itself was inspired by a storm front that's currently moving through my part of the world.

Terrific stuff Christopher. I love the sun winking his presence and the feeling of the storm’s fury and the god chastising its creation is brilliant.

Thanks, everyone. I appreciate it. I haven't had much time for drabbling. I've been having so many tests because of my ankle swelling that now they're finding other problems that aren't even related to the ankle. I've got to have more tests at the hospital as well as seeing two other specialists.
Hopefully I can catch up soon with everyone's postings.
Thanks again.

All the best from me too Christopher. It sounds awfully painful and an unwelcome distraction.

All the very best Christopher.

There’s a lot of creational chastisement round my way this afternoon. The dead would surely have been woken. Still, no need to water the garden today.
