Two men, George and Larry, meet at a crossroads and introduce themselves...

George: So, where are you from?

Larry: I'm from Aroundhere.

George: Really?

Larry: Yeah, it's about five hundred miles back that way.

George: If you're from around here how can it be that far away?

Larry: That's just where it is. I'm from over there (he points directly behind himself).

George: No, I'm from Overthere and it's back that way (points behind himself).

Larry: Where are you heading?

George: Notsure.

Larry: How will you know when you get there?

George: There's a big sign saying "Now Entering Notsure."

I have no idea what this means, but I didn't want my thousandth drabble to be buried in a Jake Randolph story, so there it is.

I love it Christopher. Very amusing. Very many congratulations on your thousandth drabble. You, sir, are a legend and I am so glad you are so productive, keeping the rest of us both amused and productive ourselves. I have also enjoyed your support for what I've done and of course our lively commentfests! Jake Randolph should be available at least on Amazon to spread his wisdom and wit, and his adventures to a far wider audience. Why not publish on Amazon's Createspace? It's virtually free and very straightforward. I plan to use it myself. Very well done indeed, Christopher :-))

Thanks so much, my friend. While I vehemently dispute the claim of "legend," I sincerely appreciate the sentiment (I sound like a politician running for public office!).

Regarding my support for you, that's an easy thing to do with the caliber of writing you've always shown. You and Drew were here when I got here and were my two biggest supporters and I was delighted to be able to reciprocate (Why am I talking like this? I sound like I'm giving a speech somewhere!). And I enjoy our commentfests as well.

As far as publishing on Amazon, I've never given it any serious consideration. I just enjoy writing and posting things here. But I don't suppose it would hurt to check out what the process entails.

    Thanks again. :-)

Frenchie knows quite a lot about Createspace, as do a couple of people at my writers’ group. I’m getting the SP on it shortly from them and have already made an aborted attempt at preparing something for it. The most difficult bit is sourcing free stuff for your covers, many free-to-use resources (pictures) are available via Getty Images. Createspace even pays for your ISBN number stuff!
Worth a thought, Christopher, because Jake is becoming a legend himself (!), adding a touch of humour to his gritty escapades.

Thanks, Neville. I'll check it out when I have some free time (Free time? What's that?).
