She started to raise the gun but changed her mind.
"Heidi, why didn't you settle down and get married? Have a family? Don't you think your father would've wanted that?"
She smiled as she looked up again. "He told me that many times. But my place was with him. I couldn't abandon him."
"I admire your loyalty, Heidi," I said truthfully. "But you have to give up this insane quest for revenge."
"I failed," she said as she put the barrel of the Luger under her chin. "I failed."
"Nooooooooooo!" I screamed.
Her head exploded as she pulled the trigger...
