I could sense someone approaching me from behind. I continued with my mock grieving. I expected to hear the pop of gunfire at any moment, either Sharkey's men shooting the killer or the killer shooting me.
I heard a woman's voice say, "Sharkey Russo?"
I'd heard that voice before. It couldn't be. I rose to my feet and turned to look at her. The hair was more of a medium brown than white blonde, and it wasn't in pigtails. It hung down on each side of her head like a mop, but there was no mistake.
It was Heidi Schmidt...

I'd temporarily forgotten Heidi. Let's hope Sharkey's men really are on her case or Jakey could be really in the Schmidt.

Haha!
I was hoping once Rivers was eliminated as a suspect that people's minds didn't immediately go to Heidi, as she was really the only one left.

I did expect a bit of 'action' with her at the start! But Jake is clearly a one gal guy, or maybe one-at-a-time gal guy! :-)

Yeah, I had planned for Jake to have some "relations" with Heidi, considering that was in 1945 and he didn't have a girlfriend at that time, but the opportunity never presented itself.

Can't you let him have a 'lost opportunity shag' in the graveyard? I won't tell his girlfriend. :-)
