The train station was empty. It usually was at 2 am. John was anxious. He was ready to go home after a long business trip. He saw the little man enter, his brown overcoat soaked from the relentless pouring rain.
He sat down on the bench, looking troubled.
"You okay?" John asked.
He nodded, "Just nervous. It keeps happening."
"What keeps happening?"
He pulled his reading glasses from his pocket and put them on. "Every time I put these glasses on I see a murder being committed."
"Really?" John asked cautiously.
"Yes," the man said, drawing his knife. "Every time."

This was inspired by a conversation with Drew about his drabble "The Man Who Shot A Ghost." I told him it reminded me of the old horror comic books I used to read in the late 70's/eary 80's. You could probably have seen the ending of this coming even without glasses, but it was a nice homage to my misspent youth.

By the way, the internet keeps going on and off, preventing me from doing my work, otherwise I wouldn't have had time write this mindblowing drabble. :)

This is a terrific drabble. Maybe one did see the end coming, but the joy when it came was great! :-)
