Shaping The Future #5

by

The young Harrison would not become a concert pianist, and the young Rockford would not spend his life in the slums of Rag Town. Harrison would have an illegal procedure to have his DNA reverted back to normal, and would lead a revolution that ultimately overthrew the State. He would become the new leader of the State, and then integrate Rag Town into Pristine City and begin to clean it up and educate its residents. The people of Rag Town were skeptical, but were convinced it was a good idea by a revolutionary of their own...

The young Mr. Rockford.

Well done! Makes me think and wonder what life might be in the future.
You read about human manipulation, synthetic creation and even barcodes.
    It's freaky.
I like fiction to stay as fiction and not factual. Lol

Maybe it'll stay fiction. It's not looking like it, though.

    Thanks for reading and commenting!

Neat ending, eliminating discord. With five movements, why it's a veritable symphony, Beethoven-style! It was unputdownable, Christopher. :-)

Thank you, Neville. I was unsure about posting it, so I appreciate the positive feedback. :)

Always publish, Christopher! The drablrsphere rarely puts anyone/thing down and craves for new material. It was a well conceived and executed piece that had me guessing until the end. My attempts at humour in the comments are as a tribute to you because I am so glad you are back with us. :-)

Thanks, Neville. I appreciate the support. Sometimes I fear my contributions might be a little too simple. But I enjoy writing.

I don't think what you write is too simple at all. I fear you might be 'beating yourself up', metaphorically speaking, unnecessarily. You're an excellent writer, Christopher, but probably too harsh a self- critic! I'm still 'slipping the clutch' waiting for the green light on Jake!

Thanks so much, Neville. I'm still working some of the kinks out on the Jake story. Maybe in a week or two I can start posting it.
