I stood there staring at this baby, wrapped up and lying in a cow's hay trough. Not exactly an auspicious beginning for a birth that would split time in two. He looked so frail, so vulnerable.
There were two men next to me who'd given the newborn frankincense and myrrh. All I had, other than the temporal watch that brought me there, was a solid gold cross on a chain I'd been wearing since I witnessed His crucifixion. I pulled it from my neck and dropped it in His mother's hand.
Then the three of us turned and walked away.

Another repost. Sorry, all. I didn't intend to make this a series, but since I did I wanted to make sure they were in order.

And special thanks to Neville. This follow-up to the first drabble was his idea and it sparked a new series. So, if you don't like it, blame him! (Just kidding, Neville. Thanks for the creative shot in the arm.)

Thanks for voting again, Robbin. Maybe I have it straight now.

Good stuff, Christopher. Thanks for the name-check. This series has a huge amount of potential! I like the temporal watch; did you get it on Amazon? If so, how much was delivery?

All temporal watches on Amazon come with free shipping. I wrote a few drabbles setting up the premise, I don't know if you saw those or not.

#Facepalm! Not supposed to interfere, and what does he do!? :D Nicely done Christopher.

Thank you, Jeff. Well, I started to realize that maybe if he was back in time that he might actually be a part of the historical events. Since there were only two dudes that gave Him gifts, he assumed that he was the third "wise" man. And if he didn't participate, that in fact would change history. Sorry, I'm rambling now.

Christopher, that's not rambling. That's a pre-destination paradox ;)

Nice to know there's a name for it. ;)
