Major Tom Graham loved classical music. His daughter sent an I-Pod to the base for his birthday, loaded with his favorite composers and symphonies. The piece of music he loved most was Mendelssohn's "Concerto for Two Pianos and Orchestra in A-Flat Major." He put it on repeat, pushing the earbuds into his ears.
He was so engrossed in the music he didn't realize he'd wandered onto the battlefield where they were conducting war games. They were so engrossed in the war games they didn't notice the Major when he stepped in front of the tank.
A flat major...

500th drabble. Wow, that's a lot of words! I can thank Jake Randolph for such a high number. I couldn't have done it without him. But I wanted to write something different for such a milestone. This was what I came up with.

Nice one, Christopher. Congratulations, what a milestone! I think only Drew is further on! This drabble certainly didn't fall flat! Must listen to it on Spotify, but I'll stay seated! :-)

Ha-ha! Thanks, Neville. Yeah, I guess you and Drew and I are the elder statesmen of Drablr. It's a great community to be a part of, that's for sure.
My favorite classical pieces are "In The Hall Of The Mountain King" by Grieg and "Ride Of The Valkyries" by Wagner. I drive faster listening to those than I do when I'm listening to Metallica!

My taste is very catholic. I adore much of Weber's work, Mozart and Beethoven of course, and Richard Strauss's work is stunning. There is soooo much fantastic stuff. But I still love the Ramones, The Enemy and countless hard-edged rockers...and of course Wreckless Eric! :-)

Oh, the Ramones are awesome! And the Clash. And the Damned. And the Stranglers. And the Dead Boys. My taste for that era, though, runs more to the New Wave bands like Devo, the Cars, and the Buggles. But Punk and New Wave, in my mind anyway, have a lot of similarities. The New Wave guys just dressed better and weren't so snotty!
Bach is my favorite classical composer. I love the Brandenburg Concertos.

Thank you, Lisa. Well, I posted my first drabble in June 2015. The love of my life suggested I try it out and I'm glad she did. I really enjoy it here. The writing and the reading.

Thank you, Michael. It's purely through the support of the good people here that I was able to reach that landmark.
