I was born in 1973, one year after the debut album by the Eagles. My parents were big fans, so it's safe to say I've been an Eagles fan my entire life. I probably even heard them while still in the womb.

It's cliché to refer to certain music as the soundtrack to your life, but in this case it's absolutely true. Every song they sang evokes multiple memories.

We lost a true American original today. A man with more talent in his little finger than most artists today have in their whole bodies combined. Rest in peace, Glenn Frey.

Here here. I am not a massive Eagles fan per se, but the impact that they had on the music scene, and Americana in particular, is staggering. Another great passed today. Nicely said Christoper.

It's been quite a week for rock losses. Nice tribute, Christopher. Welcome back, it's been a bit quiet recently round here.

Thanks, Neville. I'm glad to be back. I've been very busy at work lately and also I've been trying to get the next Jake Randolph series going. It needed a ton more research than the original story did.

I'm not a big Eagles fan but "Hotel California" takes me back to the 70's, my all time favourite decade. So sorry to read another band lost a player.

    Good ode Christopher
