Murder Is But A Memory

by

"Her memory had partially come back," Nurse Peggy continued. "She remembered who she was, and she remembered her parents. She called them and they insisted she go home to Boston. She said she wasn't going to leave you, so they flew out here and demanded that she come home with them. After all she went through she just didn't have any fight left in her."

"I can believe that," I said softly.

"She cried so many tears leaning over you I'm surprised you didn't drown. But, in the end, she let her parents take her home. She was just defeated."
