He sat on the floor by the window, his back against the wall. The rain was relentlessly pouring down, fitting weather for the gloom they were both facing at the moment.

What are we going to do? he thought. They're going to kill us.

They were in no position for this, but he knew they had no one to blame but themselves.

The bathroom door swung open. He knew by the horrified look and tears streaming down that she was pregnant. He stood to his feet and ran to her, hugging her tightly as the pregnancy stick hit the floor.
