In the distance lay a lot of miles
That you and I must travel
Falling tears on persistent smiles
As lonely years unravel
A mile we walk, then two or three
While minutes morph to hours
I wait for you and you for me
Amid life's faded flowers
Soul to soul and heart to heart
Despite the gulf between
Always near though far apart
Love's embers burn unseen
It rarely runs as smooth as planned
But ever on we sail
Until that day when fate's cruel hand
No longer writes our tale
(For my Angel, who's far away from me)

Thank you so much, Richard, for your kind words.
Anna, you have a wonderfully unique way of summing up my thoughts while beautifully adding your own to them. Fantastic.
