I reached the edge of the enemy minefield. It spread out before me, a blanket of death. I stood there in the darkness, sweat pouring from my brow. All was quiet, save for the orchestra of insects performing their nightly symphony.

I had no choice. My destination lay on the other side of the minefield. I had been here before, studied the layout. I moved in.

I placed my steps carefully, traversing the lethal obstacle course. I almost made it.

The creaking board echoed through the quiet house, and I knew my parents just caught me sneaking in after curfew.

Hahaha I had it down to an art. Cut the engine on my car 100m from the house and roll into the driveway. Get out and across to my bedroom window that had the latch unhooked and was oiled, slide it up get in and go to bed. My parents gave up so they just guessed and gave me a grilling to find out, I break easily.
