I stood there, face to face with the man who'd killed my family, a lousy drunk driver. I'm not sure how long I've been searching. All I know is that I had finally found the bastard that had eluded me for so long.
With gun in hand, pointing at his head, I searched his eyes for signs of remorse, guilt, sorrow. They were cold tombstones, devoid of any life. My hand trembled as I steadied it and pulled the trigger.
The mirror shattered into a thousand pieces, falling like crystallized raindrops down into the sink. And then he was gone.
