Roman: Feeling Numb

RomaN

I feel the rain falling....
Sleepless nights go beyond to soothe my pain. And I can't even try to find someone to blame, cause we're all surrounded by guilt and fears of the night. Relentless shame gone and lost away. My black mask hides all tears in my eyes, world of red behind me.
I'm feeling numb from the fight.
And I'm feeling numb from this pain deep down inside, my guilt.
Can't hide from the fears trembling deep within me. Want to quit.
But then I see those faces, saved faces. All reaching while cheering for me.
Saving Me.

Roman: Caught part II

Roman

I stood before my father, it was all in the open now. I can't dodge the truth anymore. Let alone let Ross get hurt, no.
"Dad, put it down please." I begged as I slowly went up to him and eased the gun down.
"Anya, I think it's time you tell your father."
Just the sound of his voice makes my father's face cringe in anger.
"Tell me what?! Anya what's going on?" My dad pleaded.
"I-I'm Roman. Neon City's so called villain. I'm really like a vigilante though."
There, I said it. He looked frightened and scared.
"No..."

Roman: Caught!!

Roman

Anya-Marie thought she was being slick, like she could really keep this secret from her father, but those sighs of love made him investigate her every move. Finally, at last! Cecil found this man that his daughter would swoon over in her secret diary, and he caught him right inside his home.
-Clichick-
"What business do you have with my daughter?! Answer me, Now!"
Ross turned around in his kitchen to face a shiny silver pistol.
"It isn't my position to get involved with you about this."
"Do you wanna die?" Cecil hissed. Suddenly,
"Dad, put down the gun..."

Roman: Lunch

Roman

Anya-Marie is inside her hideaway asleep, but soon wakes up to the rousing around of, Ross?

"Huh? And what're you doing?" She asks, ruffling her hair and sitting up.

"It's called lunch, when was the last time you ever had a normal day?" Ross retorts cocking an eye brow while he partitions some stroganoff on a plate for Anya.

She looks cautiously, but can't help but feel an overwhelming warmth in her heart that spreads into her cheeks. He fills her plate generously and hands it to her at her bedside.

"Does your father know about your other identity?"

Roman: That Smell

Roman

It's what I look forward to, every night. That faint smell of cologne and leather would dance around my nose, almost arousing an inner desire. But I hold myself back, I don't want to scare Ross away. Im too young for him too.
But damn, if only one kiss. I could resolve my feelings, think realistically.

If only I could embrace his washboard body with innocent arms and a smile.
I hate dreaming like this, it makes me wish like the adolescent teen I am.
My dad would die if he knew I was in love, in danger of heartbreak.

Roman: After Thoughts

Roman

She sits on top of a skyscraper. Her cape billowing against Neon city's red sad sky. Her small hands shake violently as she looks down on them.

"Are you ok?" Anya asks from inside Roman.
"No, I don't think so." She responds in a cold whisper, "I went too far. But
sometimes the limits have to be reached for the greater good I guess..."

Delicate drops of red drape off her hands, but suddenly a small cloth is
thrown onto her hand. She looks up, then behind her.

"Ross... You never stop following me, huh?"
"I don't stop worrying either."

Roman: Nostalgia

Roman

And she remembered it well, the soft smell of menthol that would come off
Det. Ross' coat as he'd move to do something. The gold chain that hung so manly off of his neck.
"You must have a crush!" Roman sang from within Anya-Marie.
"Oh Hush... But you have to admit he is handsome."
"Yeah he is."
Anya-Marie stared out the window thinking about Ross' features. Her father, Cecil noticed and got a little worried. That look, it was like she was in love.
And he knew better, love equals heartbreak. He wasn't going to let that happen.

Roman: Years Later by Anya-Marie

Roman

I am glad she never left my side. Roman, the other part of me that has been suppressed until I was 12! Ever since she made her appearance we have always fought crime together, well us and Det. Kyle who never arrested me even though the city wanted Roman caught.
Now That I am 23, my crime fighting days have slowed down.
My dad married Lee, the blasian guy that has been tailing after him for a while. He's a kind good person!
However, recently another tank truck wreckage has spilled it's toxic waste through the city.
Time to fight!

Roman: No Remembrance...

Roman

Anya-Marie wakes up to orbs of blinding light. Slowly it fades into it's true image of a hospital room.
"D-Daddy?" She whispers. Her father, Cecil frantically spins around at the
sound of his daughter's voice.
"Baby! Oh, you're ok!" He rushes to hug her and chokes back loud sobs.
"Dad, what... what is happening?" Anya asks. She can't remember a thing.
"I'll tell you later, you don't want daddy drowning in his own tears, right?"
The doctor stands still and silent as a ghost in the corner of the room until he breaks his silence to prescribe medicine.

Roman: The Return

Roman

Roman returns and Anya-Marie couldn't be happier. However the happiness is cut short when a bank robbery is reported in downtown Neon City.
"Bet you five yaoi books that Det. Ross is there." Roman says to Anya through
the mirror. Anya looks at her TV.
"Well, time to go Roman!" Anya glows and turns into her darker self.
Out the window she swings and through the city she dashes like a knife through butter.
She sneaks into the bank through the top and silently takes out all the crooks.
One. By. One.
After that she frees the hostages, victory!

Roman: A long time

Roman

It's been a while since the death of a major crime lord.
Neon city fell into a peaceful quiet state. People live their lives with less fear, kids don't have to be stuck to their guardians hip. And as for Roman.
She hasn't made an appearance for a long time.
Until tonight.
"I miss you Roman." Anya whispers.
"But you don't need me right now. The city is back to normal." Roman says, a hint of sadness on her voice.
"It's not about the city. I'm lonely. You were my only friend. Don't you miss
leaping from our city's skyscrapers?"

Roman: Detective Ross.

Roman

"Your height gives you away." Det Ross says while he gently approaches Roman on the top of an old building.
"Your scent of cigarettes give you away as well." Roman bites back. Ross sits next to her, his gun catches a glint of light and flashes like a spark.
He yawns tiredly.
"Im surprised you aren't tearing up the city." Ross says. He feels almost a bit of a fatherly concern for Roman.
"Im just..."
"Tired?"
".... Yeah, but this city--"
"Stop talking about this damn crooked city. You can't fix this hell hole! Go and be a kid..."

Roman: Talk to me.

Roman

Boring day as usual. It's the day time and Roman is
asleep deep inside Anya-Marie.
"I wonder why you never speak to me." She says to herself.
Her alter ego just isn't a day time person.
"You never asked me to." A voice inside her says.
"Roman? Is that you? Is that really your name?" She asks, surprised that
her darker side is responding...
"Yeah."
Anya pauses, she doesn't know what to ask now. But there is one thing she wants to say.
"Hey, Roman. I don't know you, or your nightly activities, but I know you're not evil."

Roman: In Too Deep

Roman

She finally does it, she is getting in too deep. Rpman sets all of the young women and children free and then crashes into a meeting of rich and powerful men. Bullets rain, blood is spilling. The room falls silent after ten minutes of war.
She leaves triumphant, cloaked in blood. The snow wipes it off as her cape brushes against it.
"What the hell did you just do?" Roars detective Ross.
"I saved about 200 girls, but it isn't enough..."
"Im talking about the blood, answer me!" He demands.
Roman resumes walking, but Ross grabs her and hugs her.

Roman: Missing

Roman

Cecil is frantic, his baby girl is missing! Where can Anya-Marie possibly be
at 3 a.m in the morning. He tries to dial the police, but no luck, they say he has to wait till she has been gone 24 hours.
"Let somebody tell you that when your goddamn child is missing!!!" He thrashes the phone down, almost breaking it. He runs out to search for her.
"Anya?! Baby, come out to daddy." After an hour of running around, he heads
back home to find her on the couch asleep, she wasn't there before. Cecil
worries something is wrong...

Roman: Cecil Ivory

Roman

Anya's father isn't the richest in Neon city. But he is a hard worker at Club Zer0, where he strips for a living. The pole is his friend and his customers, his pay check. Club Zer0 is a gay bar, but even woman frequent it to see Cecil perform his degrading dances.
"Do you do private dances?" A wealthy man asks Cecil.
"Do you have 10k in cash?" Cecil retorts smirking and slowly sliding down
the pole like red paint dripping down a white wall.
Thick bands of money are thrown at his feet.
"How about my place, you game?"

Roman: These Moments.

Roman

It's moments when a small comfort can break you into
tears. A moment Detective Ross gives Roman when
she needs it the most.
"Why do you even care? Aren't I just a criminal in your eyes?" Roman asks.
"No, you're just a child in my eyes. One that needs guidance. The power
you wield is too great. You must be careful." Ross says.
A warm wind blows making Roman's stomach feel nauseous in return.
The cries of the city haunt her. Her power keeps her up at night.
But Ross, his fatherly disposition makes her feel like a normal teen.

Roman: Neon Lights

Roman

Neon lights shine below her. Roman decides that tonight
she should just relax, but Neon city will never allow that. The crime
is too active and she is unwilling to turn an blind eye to a person
in need.
She jumps into an alley way dimly lit by neon lights. A drug deal
is going down and she stops it before it can bleed
through the poor side of the city and destroy many lives.
"You bastards never learn." She says while lighting their
supply on fire, the bodies of the dealers tracing
around her scene of brute honest justice.
