Emerging from my home I tentatively reach out towards the brilliance of early morning sun until I welcome its delicate warmth. The sunlight softly illuminates bejewelled, trembling webs. Scarce autumnal leaves cling with frailty to sycamore, birch and ash whilst sunbeams slice through their lofty columns. I move regally, silently, without disturbing the amber, gold and red patchwork of fallen leaves on the woodland floor. Some are gently supported by mushrooms, forcing delicate domes through soft earth. I feel grounded, gently embracing glistening dew as it meets me. Behind I leave nothing but my transparent and glossy trail….my snail trail.

Wonderful! I particularly love the ‘mushrooms, forcing delicate domes through soft earth’ concept. And of course the ending. Love it, and belated welcome to Drablr from me too.
