Silence fills the air.
“I know you’re there… Quit goofing off.”
“Hello? Come on, who is there?”
She feels a slight brush
“What was that, quit playing, you’re freaking me out”
Something moves in front of her
“I am going to scream”
“Go ahead”
“Who said that, who are you?”
“You know me, always have”
“I don’t know you, do I? How do I know you, wait, you’re familiar”
“I should be, I’m you. You have been in this darkness for too long, time to go”
The doctor checks her pulse, she is gone.
The family gathers round.
