The people of Egypt wanted to live forever. And in a way, they have.
Their tombs still stand, rising from the sand.
Their stories still murmur, unraveling on stone walls. Their presence still lingers, staring from statues. Their words still echo, etched into eternity. Their ghosts still roam, in the things left behind. Their bodies still breathe, tombs unearthed. And we give them life. We explore. We tell their tales. We dig. We create stories. We explain, furrow into mystery.
I do not know if the people of Egypt can ever die. I do not know if they want to.
