I don't have to shrink my words
So they're impossible to see
I can let them fly like birds
And set my sentences free.
I can write how I like
Without the added stress
No longer needing to hike
Through an inaccessible mess.
This competition invites me in
Even gives me a tour
They unbolt every lock and pin
That I've faced before.
It fills my heart with joy
That this door is knocked down
That my words, I can now deploy
At all these places in town.
And my stories will shine bright
In this new, kind, accepting light.

Very nice and the rhythm is excellent, when I read it aloud. I like rhythm when I read aloud. Competition?

Thank you. I entered a writing competition the other day that did this and I got excited when I found more like it.
