"I dont like it" the little guy bounces up and down on my shoulder, wings flapping, a concerning shade of crimson.
"Its too loud." he whimpers, covering his ears as sounds suffocate us. he darts down my arm, finding the blue headphones. I nod. anything to shut out this cacophony. I find the playlist, and we listen for a while. in the distance, the sounds rumble like thunder, even when muffled.
"can we go?" he pleads. i nod. i pick up my bag, fill it with notebooks and pens and sweets, and get the hell out of here. No more.
