For nearly a year.
Nearly a stranger to myself.
Prague, Gorka, Genoa, Ghent, Chamonix, Tromso and Orebro.
Hostel became my castle.

You set your backpack next to mine in Calanques.
I shared my weed with you. And that night you shared your mushrooms with me.
Though burdened with different accents, our tongues met as friends.

Who knew that you’d still be waking up with me in Boston.
3500 miles from your home.
Who knew that our bodies would become one.
And we would share the same soul.
Unraveling the layers of our shared narratives
Too fragile to fall in love.

“Though burdened with different accents, our tongues met as friends.” Superb! I love the play with words and meanings. A nice Drabble, well written.
