like debris from scattering minds.
like cattle driven mad from starvation.
like your eyes being pecked.
out from the inside.
by birds taught to speak.
by lunatics taught to preach.
like the souless poured upon me.
from altars of plagues.
like the echoing madness.
i hear from beyond.
the absence of light.
the absence of life.
and inside that darkness.
hearing whispers of the dead.
and the penance we pay.
the weight we carry.
dragging us downwards.
down to the beginning.
where we all begin again.
