When I retrieved her, she kicked and screamed, and told me she'd never love me again.
Drunk words are sober thoughts.
But I finally got her in the passenger's seat, and that's all I cared about.
She said she hated me, and that I was ruining her life.
Drunk words are sober thoughts.
She grabbed the wheel from me and tried to run us off the road.
"Mom, are you crazy?"
"Go fuck yourself", she spat.
Drunk words are sober thoughts.
We arrived home and I guided her inside.
"Thanks for the ride. Love you."
Drunk words are sober thoughts.

Interesting use of repetition here... it surely is poetry but also it tells a story and the recursion of it is the point.
