WHAT NEW YEAR’S RESOLUTION?

I awoke on the 2nd of January with no recollection of the previous thirty hours.
My alcoholic consumption on New Year’s Eve having rendered me unconscious ever since.
There was a note beside my bed.
Don’t forget your resolution.

The phone rang!
‘Did you keep your promise?’
‘Yes mum!’
I put the phone down.
I went to the window and viewed the smashed windscreen of my Audi.
The doorbell rang!
‘Morning sir, we need to speak to you about a hit and run incident where a young woman died.’
I suddenly remembered my resolution.
