I took it, then, and it took me to Then, but I needed to go to Now. And when I tried to walk forward, the ground spun back, and the sky unspooled, and the leaves fell up.
I spanned counterclockwise and sat in the wind. With nothing better to do, I counted passing bobbins. Liters ended and straw began. A lighter cranked saltpeter lens. Cracked seeds.
The only path toward exit involved poison, but I was far too stubborn for that. So I looked backwards, backwards, to find the wills to cancel the wases before me and the ises within.

A fascinating, seemingly nonsensical drabble. I say seemingly because although there are lines that seem intentionally random, there are all too brief moments of logic. These paradoxically tripped me up by feeling 'proper' only for the next line to be, once again, random.
Multiple readings elicit differing reactions from me. Oddly, very enjoyable.

"the sky unspooled" was the line that got me.

Compelling piece.
