Magic Egg Ball

In an alternate reality without pool tables, there are no billiard balls, and therefore no novelty "Magic 8" balls that children shake to receive divine guidance.

Instead, when they wish to seek their fortune, they shake what looks like a plain brown egg. Cracking this toy open reveals a goopy plastic yolk that reads "yes," "no," or "try again later." The tricky part is reassembling the slime and shell fragments in order to use it more than once, but most children are able to do this without help from parents.
