“Friends don’t let friends wear wombats,” Sheila attested firmly.

“But they were on sale,” Yolanda objected.

“Doesn’t matter!” remonstrated Sheila. “Those are the ugliest wombat slippers I ever saw.”

“Then what do I wear to Darren’s party?” Yolanda queried nervously.

“Wear this!” Sheila exclaimed, handing her friend a live shark.

Yolanda punched her arms through the side of the shark and her feet out the bottom. “This is much more stylish,” she declared happily, running her fingers over the toothy rows framing her face.

“I knew you’d agree,” Sheila annunciated proudly.

Both were later arrested for their atrocious dialogue tags.
