War had been raging for days. Hour after hour death and annihilation bore down upon the city, unrelenting since The Visitors had arrived.
Warships ruled the sky. They were the first to strike, undetected by radar, slipping in and out of dark skies. Next had been drone soldiers, armed with lasers that disintegrated steel, brick and bone indiscriminately.
Cowering in a steel bunker, the city's leader sat helplessly.
"They said they came in peace. They said.." he mumbled as his first in command stood by. "They were going to help us, share their technology....from a place called ... Earth ..."

Thanks :) I actually had the twist first, the rest kinda built itself around. I do think humans would be far deadlier than aliens if they exist!
