Today we tried to go to Padstow, the pretty fishing village next to the place where we are staying. We came straight back! All the car parks were full and people were streaming down the hill like zombies, having actually parked far away.
Traffic all the way was horrendous; cars, buses and white vans galore. But the most tricky to avoid was the army of tractors of differing colours, all laden with hay bales. To pass the time I couldn’t resist singing a kiddies’ favourite...
🎶“Bouncing up and down on a big red/green/blue tractor (x3)... bringing in the hay, HAY!”🎶

Sounds a bit like the song ‘The Cornish Floral Dance’! Now I find myself singing it. Happens with every song I think of. Best version of this for me is by the Australian Peter Dawson. Born 1882, died 1961. Find him on Spotify
