Her bold striped dress first caught my eye
Transfixed, I was merely standing by
‘Twas clear she’d taken special care
On how she looked, on what she’d wear
Her stripes they swished and they did swirl
My attention fixed firm on this girl
Kinetic art, and never still
Call me a pulchrist if you will
A teenage boy, my pulse was high
I held my breath as she swished by
Her face was nought to write home about
But presentation earned the benefit of the doubt
With new found notion of a new romance
She was guaranteed a second glance.
