She was a bright young woman. She was pretty. But she was ‘from the wrong side of the tracks’.
She knew poverty. She knew hardship. But she knew how to survive.
She knew the boy liked her. She saw his potential. She would exploit her own.
The wrong side of the tracks... wrong, because often there lurks a bunch of ‘wrong-uns’. Wrong-uns who might prove useful if the right opportunity knocks. And Donna planned to make sure that opportunity would knock with a rat-tat-tat that couldn’t be ignored. Poor Tony would soon be knocked for six.
