My wife returned to the hospital wherein she’d been imprisoned over Christmas. Went for them to check she was still OK after a slip-up in a routine operation had prompted two more operations, all three within 4 days... and a further operation six weeks later.

She’d planned to find out what had gone wrong first time round and who was responsible for her ordeal. But when confronted with the man who’d actually done the original operation, ever polite, she said nothing and he signed her off. When she should have ticked him off!

She still ticks me off though!

Sounds as if that Doctor was lucky. I've seen patients being quite confrontational over far less important matters. Are you still having to isolate?

Thanks Jamie. No, we’re no longer needing to isolate. We had to self-isolate before the fourth op. One of our biggest problems was me getting Covid before Christmas and not being able to visit her in hospital... and then, when they decided to send her back home on Boxing Day, with me still Covid positive. It was fun and games playing avoid the Covoid! But, amazingly, my wife didn’t catch it. Phew!

I think so. Got a bit of a cold at the moment, but I hope I'm out of my winter-related doldrums.
