His face says it all. But in his head he’s wondering how and why? How did he persuade this diminutive delight to walk down the aisle of this pretty thatched church? And why had she said yes and subsequently I do? As they drove away in the Rolls Royce Sedanca de Ville, he’d no idea that a few hours later they would be stuck in the middle of nowhere together in a hirecar with seized gearbox, new wife in tears.
It didn’t look good... but fifty years on it looks great, has been great... and that cream hasn’t gone off!

Thanks very much, Christopher. There were only six of us who were at our wedding that were also at our (socially distanced) party at our place today. One bridesmaid, one Best Man, two ushers and the two of us. It was a blast although I’m feeling a bit knackered now, but that might be the sciatica.😕
