Their’s was a dance to watch.

The bride and groom had danced first to applause from all in the marquee. Now was the time for the guests to express themselves, rhythmically speaking. Bridesmaids danced with ushers, dads danced with little daughters, while mums danced with anyone who would dance.... as the band played on. Everyone was game for a dance!

But it was the swaying of the bride’s parents that caught everyone’s attention. Their powers of recovery seemed to defy gravity. It seemed like a game. A game of support. Of teamwork!

But their slurred speech gave the game away.

    Thanks firefly.

Btw, sounds daft, but I’m not sure I know what fireflies are except that I was listening to one of my Spotify playlists the other day and a song mentioned grabbing ‘a Mason jar of fireflies to be our light’, so I guess they’re bright! I had to play something gentle and romantic as an antidote for one of the tracks on Relaxer by alt-j 😁 Only kidding!

Perhaps you call them lightning bugs? Everyone seems to have their own name for them! Ahaha alt-j isn't that bad! I think I found the song you're referring to, is it Moonshine, by Sara Haze? I like the words and tune, it's very sweet and gentle. But I have to say when I saw the title, the first thing I thought of was the drink! xD

Haha! Yes, that’s the one firefly. Well researched! I’m not agin alt-j and tbh I haven’t listened to all their output... yet. Nothing wrong with moonshine... in fact I still have some given me by a Hungarian... at 56% it’s a bit too strong for me! But

Nice. Sorry I missed this the other day. I figured I better scroll back and see if I missed anything. When I start posting a Jake story I get so caught up in that I forget to see what everyone else is posting.
