Imagine it... I’m at a party. I seem to be very popular as I’m addressing quite a crowd of other guests. I think they’re listening attentively but I’m not sure because I’m too busy talking and thinking what other fascinating tales from my life I can interest them with.
But hey, what’s this... “Put me down, put me down!” I’m being manhandled... but it’s not manhandling... they’re all women, with my wife in charge. They’re throwing me out of the party!
“But I haven’t told you about my time in Ukraiiiiiiiiiiiiiii...”
Phew! I wake. It’s just a nightmare.... for everyone!

Ah, firefly... those are other stories, but since I have drabbled them in the past, all you need to do is put Ukraine in the search box and you’ll find a trio easily.

I just found them- they’re incredible!! Sounds like you had a great time there and I’d be thrilled to sit and listen to all your stories. Or read them in a beautiful book full of your drabbles 😉

Firefly, you are too kind. I have had the enormous privilege of travelling to some interesting places, many that most people don’t usually go to, and somehow, something usually prompts a drabble or two. So there are a number of micro series with the generic titles Nevilles Travails (the ‘series’ box doesn’t allow apostrophes!). Wherever I go I aim to have a laugh... and try to prompt a smile on this site. Should you wish, a search for ‘Travails’ might throw them up. As for a book, a lovely idea. A very small volume of drabbles, ‘Shorts Suite’, is with a local printer right now. I’m giving it away to terrorise my friends and family!

Thanks Verity (unless it should be in full VerityAlways). I always try to speak the truth, but sometimes the ‘True Stories Told As Fiction’ handle requires a little bending of that truth to make the drabble work as it should (but only sometimes!).
