Kneesy Peasy

The costume drama showed the rich squire on his knees beseeching his true love to do him the honour of being his wife. How different I thought was my own experience of winning my fair love.

My knees were definitely involved, but on them was my true love. She said later I could’ve done it better, timed it better, more romantically. But I was romantic. I’d planned to ask her sometime soon, but my brother’s wedding was the catalyst. Sitting alone with her on my knees, I simply asked and she said yes.

I’ve been on my knees ever since!
