Goldf-inches missing by a mile
The laggards are back.... in droves! Where were they when I needed them? Why couldn’t they arrive on time?
I had everything prepared. I couldn’t have been more generous. A feast fit for a king... or at least his courtiers in all their fashionable finery. Now I know that these days there is such a thing as arriving ‘fashionably late’. But ‘fashion’ dictates more like 10 minutes, not a whole month or more.
They’ve arrived this week! They know they’re very, very late. You can tell by their greedy red faces. But there’ll be another RSPB bird count next year!
