Travel travails

We’d been on a day out east; me, my wife, daughter and grandchild #6 (6 months). We started our return leg with the little one awake. She wasn’t happy.

My daughter was on the case.

Strategy #1 milk - drunk with gusto - 5 minutes flat. What next?

Strategy #2 nursery rhymes. Singing our repertoire over and over, she still wasn’t happy. She was bored.

If she was bored, I was anxious. Remaining journey time... estimated 2 hours.

Strategy #3. Finding videos on her iPhone, daughter handed it to her baby.

“Isn’t she a bit young?”

“Well it’s worked!”

Strategy #4... sleep!
