On the ball, City!

Tonight’s a treat following yesterday’s lack of a meal on account of having socially-distanced drinks with friends sharing a wedding anniversary. We’d missed our anniversary dinner. Tonight though, it’s lamb chops, new potatoes and peas. Lovely!

I offered the first of my home-grown courgettes too... but Mrs H was fussy. She only wanted the yellow courgettes, in order to complement the pea-green peas, she said.

I was taken aback, but fully recovered when I realised our vegetables were Norwich City FC colours, yellow and green. “On the ball...”

She said I was being silly.

I cried ”foul!”
