We both said “I do”, firstly me, and then you
That day we were making our choice.
In church neatly thatched and we so well-matched
I spoke at the top of my voice.

The clock sounded chimes, as the vodka and limes
Started working to calm me inside.
Then who needed booze, I had nothing to lose
But winning a beautiful bride.

The years have gone by in the blink of an eye
Since that day when we both said “I do”.
If asked it today, “Yes, yes!” I would say
“The rest of my life is for you!”
