We went to their lovely house, just yards from the mighty Thames, (receding now - phew!) with their view of the famous DJ’s riverside gaff opposite. McBrevity’s wife, daughter and two granddaughters were there, along with McBrevity himself, in casket format, bedecked with his favourite hat.
We toasted him with Prosecco while the girls played in the conservatory, next to McB. They were allowed to play with his treasured collection of model classic cars. (Was he spinning in the casket?)
They were suspicious of me, but I made two friends when they realised my detailed knowledge and enthusiasm for Paw Patrol!
